About us

The Clean Business Programme, operated by the Polish Environmental Partnership Foundation, responds to environmental needs of Poland's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Programme demonstrates through practical example that improving environmental performance does not necessarily mean higher costs and bureaucracy. On the contrary, good management means making environmental considerations part of day-to-day operations in order to make business operations more cost-effective and profitable. Good environmental practice is a key to improving competitiveness and profitability.

The Clean Business Programme supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their efforts to improve environmental performance both internally and externally to company operations by helping them reduce production costs and environmental impacts and so increase competitiveness. Also, the Programme provides companies with opportunities to become engaged in long-term projects with NGO and local government partners, which contribute to sustainable development of the communities within which they operate.

The Clean Business Programme is delivered through Clean Business Clubs, which bring together companies from a defined geographical area. There are now 16 Clubs in operation, engaging about 400 companies located in the regions of Malopolska, Silesia, Podkarpacie, Mazowsze, Swietokrzyskie and Pomerania. We are committed to establishing further Clean Business Clubs, where local companies and governments make a commitment to improving environmental performance.

Each Clean Business Club is run by a coordinator, who is responsible for maintaining contact with member companies on an ongoing basis and helping them get the best out of the Programme's offer.

Members of the CB Clubs receive assistance in the form of advisory and information services, as well as trainings.

The Programme is addressed to:
